Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for switchgear components (e.g., breakers, relays, panels).
Float RFQs/RFPs, analyze quotations, and prepare comparative statements.
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with vendors.
Ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and production schedules.
Technical Procurement (Switchgear Focus)
Review technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings before placing orders.
Procure components such as:
MCCBs, ACBs, VCBs
Protection relays & PLCs
Busbars, enclosures, cables
Coordinate with engineering teams for approvals and substitutions.
Supplier & Vendor Management
Maintain strong relationships with approved vendors and OEMs.
Evaluate supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness).
Ensure vendors comply with UAE authority standards (DEWA, ADNOC, etc.).
Purchase Order & Delivery Management
Generate and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
Resolve discrepancies related to quality, quantity, or delays.
Inventory & Material Planning
Coordinate with stores/warehouse for stock availability.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Prepare material requirement planning (MRP) based on project needs.
Cost Control & Reporting
Implement cost-saving initiatives and value engineering.
Analyze procurement data, market prices (copper, steel), and trends.
Prepare monthly reports on procurement performance and savings.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies and UAE regulations.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier data.
� Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Supply Chain / Procurement
Professional certifications (CIPS, PMP) – preferred
