- Support the QSSE Director in implementing QSSE policies and practices in line with national and international standards, and ensure compliance to QHSSE related legal compliance, including the management of Fire Safety, Loss prevention techniques and emergency response systems.
- Ensure necessary environmental projects are taken to reduce the energy consumption and minimization of environmental footprints.
- Implement a Training Need Analysis process and conduct necessary trainings for Management, Employees and contract workers.
- Manage the Shift activities pertaining to QSSE in-coordination with other departments.
- Monitor the timely submission of Incident Investigation Reports and advise and assist investigator for serious incidents to review quality of investigations, trend analysis and organization of regional debriefs to avoid occurrence, as well as suggest continuous improvement recommendations, on all aspects of QHSSE related training of personnel.
- Plan and organise effective and timely delivery of Toolbox Talks and QHSSE meetings, as well as share advice to line managers in conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures to minimise and manage any operational risks.
- Organise effective QHSSE integration with SOPs & WI (Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions), whilst also ensuring Internal & External Audits of IMS and other ISO Management Systems certification audits to achieve continual improvement.
- Assist and ensure the line management for conducting onsite audit and inspection to critically review current practices and standards by organizing best practice familiarization and peer reviews around safety, operations and engineering aspects.
- Monitor and ensure the QHSSE critical emergency devices are always in top working conditions, conduct regular mock drills and manage the upkeep of all emergency procedures.
- Assist the QSSE Director with budget processes, and all periodical reports for the leadership and management, as well as Safety Committees and relevant government authorities.
- Ensure all incidents and accidents are thoroughly investigated and the preventive and corrective actions are implemented within the given timelines.
