1.Subcontract Preparation & Package Development
Prepare comprehensive subcontract enquiry packages, including Scope of Work (SoW), technical specifications, drawings, Bill of Quantities (BoQ), and all supporting documents.
Identify scope gaps, ambiguities, conflicts, and technical risks within subcontract packages and propose mitigation measures.
Ensure subcontract requirements are aligned with main contract obligations, especially technical, schedule, and quality requirements.
2.Technical & Commercial Evaluation
Review subcontractor technical qualifications, verifying compliance and clarifying deviations or exclusions.
Support and participate in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and coordinate closely with commercial teams during Commercial Bid Evaluations (CBE).
Assist in subcontractor selection, ensuring alignment with project specifications, HSE standards, and quality requirements.
Contract Drafting & Administration
Support preparation, review, and finalization of subcontract agreements, work orders, amendments, and change orders.
Ensure proper flow-down of main contract terms to subcontractors.
Monitor subcontractor correspondence and provide technical inputs to contractual responses.
Assist in preparing and reviewing variations, change orders, Extension of Time (EoT) requests, claims, and back-to-back submissions.
Subcontractor Performance & Progress Monitoring
Track subcontractor progress, deliverables, and performance against SoW, schedules, and contract milestones.
Participate in subcontractor coordination/progress meetings to ensure technical compliance and highlight contractual implications of technical issues.
Review subcontractor engineering deliverables, drawings, method statements, and QAC-related submissions for conformity with contract requirements.
Support performance monitoring to mitigate risks of delays or liquidated damages (LDs).
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with engineering, procurement, planning, and project control teams to ensure seamless flow of subcontract-related requirements.
Support subcontractors by addressing technical queries through coordination with internal discipline engineers.
Maintain effective communication with subcontractors to resolve technical and contractual issues promptly.
Reporting & Closeout
Prepare periodic reports on subcontracting activities for internal management and client review.
Maintain updated registers for subcontractor performance, claims, variations, and compliance records.
Support subcontract closeout activities, ensuring all technical and contractual obligations are fully met.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (mandatory).
Specialization or qualification in Law (mandatory).
15–20 years of experience in subcontract management within the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and international contracting standards.
Proven experience in subcontract negotiation, administration, and dispute resolution.
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
