Project Management and Oversight: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of major engine service projects, both in the workshop and on-site at client locations. Manage project budgets, track man-hours, and control costs to ensure profitability. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, class societies, and vendors, providing regular updates on project progress and resolving any technical or commercial issues.
Technical Expertise and Problem-Solving: Provide expert technical guidance and support for complex engine overhauls, troubleshooting, and repairs. Act as the final authority on technical decisions, ensuring all work complies with manufacturer specifications and international standards. Conduct root cause analysis for engine failures and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of service engineers, foremen, and technicians. Ensure the team has the necessary training, tools, and resources to perform their jobs effectively and safely. Conduct performance reviews and foster a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
Quality and Safety: Enforce strict adherence to all company, client, and industry safety, health, and environmental policies. Ensure all work meets the quality standards of Goltens and relevant classification societies.
