Safely operate and maneuver heavy trucks, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety protocols.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, identifying any mechanical issues and ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy.Transport goods and materials efficiently, adhering to delivery schedules and maintaining accurate logs of mileage and fuel consumption.Load and unload cargo as necessary, using proper techniques to prevent damage and injury.Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues.Manage paperwork related to shipments, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and other necessary documentation.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck interior and exterior to promote a professional image.Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation.Monitor weather and road conditions, adjusting routes and driving practices accordingly to ensure safety.Attend training sessions and maintain certifications as required to stay updated with industry standards and practices.
