Job OverviewWe are a growing transportation and heavy equipment rental company based in Abu Dhabi, supporting major oil & gas and infrastructure projects. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage day-to-day operations of a mixed fleet including earth-moving equipment, flatbed & lowbed trailers, buses, and pickup vehicles.The ideal candidate will have strong UAE oil & gas operational experience, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage large fleets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations of 100+ equipment units with plans for expansionOversee dispatch, scheduling, mobilization, and demobilization for:HourlyDailyMonthlyProject-based rentalsEnsure high fleet utilization and minimal equipment downtimeCoordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with workshop teamsEnsure full compliance with ADNOC, UAE Traffic Law, DOT, and client HSE requirementsManage drivers, operators, dispatchers, and site supervisorsControl operating costs including fuel, maintenance, and overtimeAct as main operational point of contact for oil & gas clients and EPC contractorsPrepare operational reports on utilization, downtime, fuel, and safety performanceSupport audits, inspections, and client coordination meetingsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or related field5–12 years of experience in transportation and heavy equipment rental operationsProven experience supporting oil & gas projects in the UAEStrong knowledge of:Earth-moving equipmentHeavy transport (flatbed & lowbed)Staff transport (buses)Solid understanding of ADNOC HSE standards and UAE regulationsStrong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skillsUAE driving license preferredOversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all departments, driving continuous improvement initiatives.Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.Manage budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimize operational performance and minimize costs.Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of products or services.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for enhancement.Lead and mentor a team of employees, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining high quality and safety standards within operations.Engage with stakeholders, including clients and suppliers, to build strong relationships and support business growth.Analyze data and market trends to inform decision-making and strategic planning for operational improvements.Facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution, ensuring a proactive approach to operational challenges.
