Job Description

Desert Man Transporting and Contracting is looking for an experienced Draughtsman (Civil / Infrastructure) to join our engineering team in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate should have strong UAE experience in infrastructure and utilities projects, with excellent knowledge in preparing detailed engineering drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings for civil and utility works.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise shop drawings, as-built drawings, and detailed construction drawings

• Coordinate with project engineers, surveyors, and site teams

• Prepare drawings for utilities, pipelines, roads, and infrastructure works

• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and authority standards

• Maintain drawing records and document control procedures

• Review and update drawings based on site conditions and consultant comments

• Support engineering and technical teams during project execution

• Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants for drawing approvals
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Drafting / Civil Engineering

• Minimum 5–10 years of UAE experience as Draughtsman in infrastructure or civil projects

• Strong experience in utilities, sewerage, potable water, stormwater, and roadworks projects

• Proficient in AutoCAD and related drafting software

• Experience in preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings

• Good understanding of engineering standards and construction practices

• Strong attention to detail and coordination skills

• Immediate joiners preferred

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in:

• Wet utilities

• Sewerage and drainage networks

• Potable water pipelines

• Fire hydrant systems

• Roads and earthworks

• Infrastructure coordination drawings will be highly preferred.
