  • Conduct thorough audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and rectify issues before finalizing payroll reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations, minimizing the risk of penalties for the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR to manage employee records, including onboarding, terminations, and changes in salary or benefits.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports, ensuring timely payment to avoid interest and penalties.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements related to payroll, including reconciliations of payroll-related accounts.
  • Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, providing clear explanations and solutions.
  • Implement and maintain payroll software systems, ensuring they are updated and functioning effectively.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and payroll best practices to maintain compliance and efficiency.
  • Support management in strategic decision-making by providing payroll analytics and insights on labor costs.
