The Production Planning Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure efficient manufacturing of plastic pipes and fittings. The role focuses on meeting customer demand, optimizing resource utilization, and maintaining optimal inventory levels while ensuring adherence to quality and delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials (e.g., PVC, HDPE).
Monitor daily production schedules and adjust plans to address delays, machine breakdowns, or material shortages.
Ensure optimal utilization of machines, labor, and production capacity.
Track production KPIs such as efficiency, waste, downtime, and on-time delivery.
Maintain accurate production planning data in ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
Analyze demand trends and support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes.
Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure proper inventory control of raw materials and finished goods.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Prepare reports on production performance and planning accuracy.
