Contract Drafting and Expertise: The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in FIDIC 1999 and able to draft complete contract agreements, including detailed conditions, annexes, and various forms like warranty and bank guarantee forms.
Negotiation and Risk Assessment: The role requires the ability to review and negotiate the terms and conditions of main contracts with clients and consultants, as well as subcontracts with subcontractors. The candidate must be skilled at identifying and addressing hidden contractual gaps, ambiguities, and risks.
Contractual Writing: The person in this position must be highly skilled in contractual writing and investigations. They should be able to create strong responses to contractual letters, notifications, variations, and claims from different project stakeholders.
Claims Management: The job involves preparing claims packages with full substantiation for delays or extra costs caused by a client or consultant. Additionally, the candidate needs to be capable of assessing or refuting claims from subcontractors and preparing counterclaims when necessary.
