Job Purpose-
Responsible to help Slickline Supervisor deliver high quality services to our clients. This position involves working closely with various teams to ensure that slickline operations are conducted safely and efficiently. Operators are responsible for a safe and efficient wellsite operation by performing their duties under direction of the SL supervisor. He is directly responsible for the hand tools and the ready-box assigned to him and cleaning all equipment post job. This role requires a strong understanding of the equipment and techniques used in slickline operations, as well as the ability to work in challenging environments.
Key Roles and Responsibilities-
Activities
Conduct slickline operations, including the deployment and retrieval of tools in oil and gas wells.
Assist the SL Supervisor in pre- and post-job maintenance checks of tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Participate in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing primary tools, service units, and associated equipment as per the maintenance program.
Collaborate with SL Supervisor and field personnel to plan and execute slickline operations effectively.
Follow safe working practices, rules, and regulations; report hazards and anomalies immediately.
Maintain tools, shop, and equipment in good condition and ensure a clean and orderly work environment.
Drive assigned vehicles and transport units safely (if licensed).
Complete assigned training materials and tasks as per the training manual.
Be available 24/7 for operational requirements, emergency call-outs, or critical wellsite activities.
Achieve assigned yearly KPIs.
Perform other assigned tasks as required.
People Management
Work collaboratively to ensure smooth operations.
Take responsibility for personal training and development.
Support training of junior operators as required.
Safety and Compliance
Promote a strong safety culture.
Ensure journey management is completed for each mobilization.
Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
Update unit logbooks regularly.
Follow company HSE policies and procedures.
Support efforts to minimize HSE&Q risks.
Conduct audits for unsafe acts and hazardous conditions.
Improve safety and efficiency of maintenance procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
Participate in HSE-related activities.
Stop unsafe work and escalate issues when necessary.
Equipment and Tools Management
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of slickline units, vehicles, tools, and pressure-control equipment.
Ensure tools are clean, lubricated, and properly stored.
Maintain slickline drum and wire path to avoid damage or unsafe conditions.
Assist in routine maintenance and identify repair/replacement needs.
Housekeeping & Worksite Management
Maintain cleanliness in slickline units, vehicles, tool cabins, and wellsite areas.
Organize tools, spares, and consumables efficiently.
Keep work areas free from hazards and obstructions.
Ensure proper wire spooling and line routing during operations.
