About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our software products through manual testing and basic programming-based test processes. This position is ideal for candidates with 0-5 years of experience who possess strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in C++, Java, C, Python, MySQL, and manual testing.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute manual test plans and test cases
Identify, document, track, and verify software defects
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
Collaborate with developers to understand requirements and resolve issues
Document test results and provide clear, concise status reports
Maintain and update test documentation, checklists, and test data
Participate in code reviews and offer a testing perspective
Contribute to improving testing processes, tools, and best practices
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
0-5 years of experience in software testing
Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and defect tracking tools
Basic programming skills in C++, Java, C, and Python
Experience with MySQL databases and writing SQL queries
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit)
ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Ability to write simple automation scripts in Python or shell scripting
Proactive problem-solving skills and a drive for continuous improvement
