- Upgrade and migrate DB2 versions.
- Apply PTFS/APARS regularly.
- Manage DB2 ISV products and system catalogs.
- Assist to optimize application data and database environments.
- Use offline utilities (e.g., DSNJLOGF, DSNJU004).
- Ensure database security by managing user IDs and privileges.
- Administer DB2 on z/OS, including SQL creation and performance tuning.
- Define physical databases (DDL) and understand logical design.
- Implement DB2 software installs, upgrades, and security compliance.
- Monitor threads, table spaces, and index spaces.
- Handle event resolution and escalations.
- Perform database and SQL performance tuning.
- Recycle DB2 and create image copies.
- Create databases and manage authorities.
- Support disaster recovery as per client requirements.
- Build and maintain databases and related objects.
- Use online utilities (e.g., CHECKDATA, COPY, REORG).
