Job Title: Material Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Salary: AED 7,000 – AED 9,000 per month

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Material Engineer with more than 7 years of UAE experience in construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction materials meet project specifications, consultant requirements, and approved quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve material submittals in accordance with project specifications

• Ensure all construction materials comply with ASTM, BS, and project standards

• Coordinate with consultants for material approvals and compliance

• Conduct inspections and oversee material testing (soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, etc.)

• Work closely with QA/QC team, site engineers, and project management

• Prepare and review Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and related documentation

• Maintain material approval logs and testing records

• Monitor material quality delivered to site and ensure compliance

• Coordinate with third-party laboratories for testing and reporting

• Identify non-conforming materials and ensure corrective actions are implemented

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 7+ years of UAE experience as a Material Engineer

• Strong experience in infrastructure, roadworks, and earthworks projects

• Solid knowledge of construction materials and testing procedures

• Familiarity with ASTM, BS, and UAE project standards

• Experience working with consultants and site teams

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or contracting companies

• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi project procedures and consultant approvals

• Valid UAE driving license (preferred)
