About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Joinery Foreman to supervise and lead production and site installation activities. The role involves managing a team of carpenters and laborers, ensuring alignment with shop drawings, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring on-time delivery of joinery and fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily joinery production and ensure compliance with shop drawings and cutting lists.
- Lead carpenters and helpers in measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing tasks.
- Conduct quality checks to reduce defects and rework.
- Allocate tasks, monitor labor productivity, and provide on-the-job training.
- Monitor material usage, minimize waste, and ensure equipment readiness.
- Coordinate with site teams for measurements, installation, and project handovers.
- Enforce safety procedures, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure PPE usage at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma/Certification in Carpentry, Joinery, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in joinery/fit-out, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking, veneer, finishing materials, and fit-out techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in workshop and site environments.
