Position OverviewThe Senior Electrical Engineer will lead, supervise, and coordinate all electrical engineering activities for MEP construction projects. The role involves managing design, review, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and local authority regulations. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical OversightReview, validate, and approve electrical designs, shop drawings, load schedules, and single line diagrams.Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, and international standards.Provide technical solutions and value engineering proposals to optimize designs and reduce costs.Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems (LV, MV, HV, lighting, power distribution, ELV, fire alarm, BMS, etc.).Supervise site execution to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams to ensure proper MEP integration.Lead a team of engineers, draftsmen, and site supervisors to achieve project milestones.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training where required.Assign tasks and monitor daily site progress to ensure timely project delivery.Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve design or site issues.Attend technical meetings, progress reviews, and authority inspections.Prepare and submit RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and compliance reports.Monitor project budgets, BOQs, and resource allocation for electrical works.Identify risks, delays, and propose corrective actions.Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for management and clients.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering .10+ years of experience in MEP construction projects, with at least 3–5 years in a senior role.Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and local authority requirements.Awareness of ADDC, ADCD RegulationsProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Office, and electrical design software (ETAP, Dialux, etc.).Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Communication & ReportingMaintain daily reports on material movement, deliveries, and site logistics.Report delays, issues, or bottlenecks to project management.Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth construction operations.

Ensuring that all materials used and work as per specification.16. Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may occur.17. Prior to ordering, to check all ex-stock availability in central stores and sub stores.18. Ensure timely delivery of equipment, material & systems to support site installation works as per approved work program19. Develop and maintain good relationship with suppliers and subcontractors.20. Maintain company reputation & credibility by fair dealings and prompt payment21. Coordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvement.22.
