The role of Senior Project Manager is to represent the Developer on-site, overseeing day-to-day construction activities and ensuring that works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The Resident Engineer will play a crucial role in managing site coordination between consultants (external/internal), contractors, and stakeholders, while reporting progress and challenges to the Chief Development Officer (CDO).Key Responsibilities:Project Oversight & ComplianceOversee the work of contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure strict adherence to design intent, safety protocols, and all statutory and regulatory requirements.Act as the primary on-site technical representative for the Developer.Progress Monitoring & Reporting:Monitor construction progress diligently, verify key milestones, and proactively identify and escalate any delays or discrepancies, providing clear, recommended solutions.Maintain detailed daily and weekly site reports, including comprehensive progress updates, documentation of site issues, safety observations, and initiated corrective actions.Technical Review & Approval:Review and approve all technical submittals, shop drawings, and material samples in close coordination with project consultants.Quality & Safety Assurance:Conduct regular, thorough site inspections to ensure unwavering compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and all project documentation.Stakeholder Coordination:Coordinate seamlessly with government authorities for necessary inspections, approvals, and compliance as mandated by local regulations.Facilitate and meticulously document all site meetings, ensuring timely follow-up on action items and the effective resolution of any technical or operational challenges.Cost Control & Design Input:Support robust cost control measures by validating on-site quantities and progress certificates in collaboration with the Quantity Surveyor.Provide valuable input on potential design or construction modifications based on real-time site conditions, and expertly coordinate the necessary approvals.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in site-based engineering roles, including at least 3–5 years as a Resident Engineer on large-scale real estate or infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and UAE regulations.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.Proficiency in project management and reporting tools (e.g., Auto desk, MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to maintain firm oversight while fostering collaboration among site teams.Preferred Attributes:UAE Society of Engineers membership or equivalent local accreditation.Experience with mixed-use, hospitality, or residential tower projects.Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials is a plus.
